Timothy J. Treweek is the managing member of Treweek Insurance Agency, LLC, a Florida independent insurance agency. In this position, Mr. Treweek is responsible for planning, management and attainment of the agency’s goals. He personally works with businesses to manage their insurance programs, identify risks, develop new solutions, and enhance and validate their insurance programs. Mr. Treweek has 36 years of leadership experience in providing insurance and risk management guidance to top-tier companies.

Mr. Treweek’s exceptional track record of business improvement through carefully managed insurance and risk strategies is based on his philosophy of proactive insurance management. He is known for his ability to quickly identify risk and insurance impediments and deficiencies, working with companies to improve their insurance portfolio while reducing their total cost of risk.

Prior to co-founding Treweek Insurance Agency in 2009, Mr. Treweek owned Rethink Risk Management, a risk management consulting firm, for five years. From 2000 – 2004 he served as Vice President of Risk Management and Commercial Lines for Tower Hill Insurance Group. From 1990 – 2000 he served as the President of the Gainesville office of Hilb, Rogal and Hobbs (now Willis Towers Watson), at the time the seventh largest insurance brokerage in the United States, where he consistently led the office to top five finishes in profitability. Earlier in his career Mr. Treweek worked with Cannon-Treweek Agency and Safeco Insurance Company.

Mr. Treweek was born in Sewickley, PA in 1958. He attended the University of Florida where he earned his B.A. in 1980. He is currently is a member of the Board of Directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities North Central Florida, and of Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. He is past President of the North Central Florida CPCU Society, and previously served as Vice-Chair of the Alachua County Economic Development Advisory Committee, and served on the Eight Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee of the Florida Bar. He is a past president of the Gainesville Association of Insurance Agents, a past member of the Santa Fe College Insurance Advisory Committee and a past Board Member of ACORD, a national non-profit insurance association that facilitates the development and use of standards for the insurance industry. An avid runner and former marathoner, he resides in Gainesville, FL with his wife of 30 years, and has two adult children.
